In this 60-minute presentation, participants will:
Explain masking as a survival strategy in ADHD and autism
Identify how ambiguous loss and moral injury emerge through masking
Move from grief processing to identity recognition, reclamation, and integration
Differentiate performative sex from flow state sex
Build skills to navigate misattunements, including co-regulated consent and practical application of the double empathy problem through the Polarization to Parallel model
By the end of this training, participants will be able to:
Apply Polyvagal Theory to identify how masking leads to moral injury in high-masking ADHDers and Autistics
Analyze how flow state psychology facilitates interventions for honoring neurodivergent diversity, transforming grief, and accessing affirming self-expression and relationship negotiation
